The paradigm of an operational Oceanography system or a full environmental observation system is based on objectives set by society and achievable through scientific excellence and technological innovation. For this reason, the solutions we propose to the challenges diagnosed in the A3 Euroregion take advantage of the existing opportunities within a general strategy for the development of an environmental Observatory that includes the following activities:

• Upgrading of existing in-situ metocean observation infrastructures.

• Development and adaptation of the hydrodynamic and atmospheric models available within the consortium.

• Data management: Organization, access and standardization of protocols.

• Products and services: Development of user interface. Identification of user groups and their needs.
